The transformation at The Wellness Spot has been a true test of faith, fortitude and perseverance. For more than a year, the TWS team sustained project delays, COVID shutdowns, redesigns and restarts to deliver this luxurious new destination for rest, relaxation, fun and fitness in Historic College Park, Ga.

The Wellness Spot Story

Years ago, when owner Valaurie Lee was a young student at Atlanta's prestigious Woodward Academy, she dreamed of one day owning the buildings she saw down the street - just off of West Rugby Avenue and East Main. Little did she know, just a few decades later, that dream was about to come true. Valaurie bought the building she wanted two years ago during the pandemic and couldn't have been more ecstatic! She'd already proven she could successfully run a business - having established and grown VB Consulting Services, a higher-ed software firm, for over two decades. Her success there became the launching pad for her passion business: The Wellness Spot Fitness & Day Spa.

Valaurie dreamed of a place that beautifully blended high-end, luxurious offerings with gorgeous aesthetics - designed to soothe, calm, inspire and heal. After it's one-year anniversary in 2022, the spa earned a new physical addition and now offers everything from bespoke yoga classes and delightful private events to incredible massages, a host of beauty services and even state-of-the-art self-regulating sauna experiences.

The Wellness Spot is now well on its way to becoming everything Valaurie and her team could have envisioned it to be and more. Join the journey to #BeWell.

Meet Valaurie

Our wellness-inspired leader, Valaurie Lee, holds a BA from University of Georgia, an MBA from Kennesaw State University and is currently working on her Doctorate from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Val’s a product of historic college park - having been a student at Woodward Academy years ago. In addition to running The Wellness Spot, Val is also President of VB Consulting Services - a software consultancy specializing in higher education. Prior to becoming a serial entrepreneur, she worked at big brands like IBM, Oracle and Waste Management. She now brings all of her corporate and real-world expertise to the haven that’s become The Wellness Spot.
